One of the most popular models of the highly-regarded RX Series line of grand pianos first introduced by Kawai in 1995 was the RX-2 Classic Salon Grand. Known for its award-winning touch and tone, the RX-2 featured the Kawai Ultra-Responsive Action with ABS Styran composite parts. The Ultra-Responsive Action was a vast improvement over the conventional all-wooden actions found on most other pianos.

As Kawai technology continued to “raise the bar” in the piano industry, the RX Series was succeeded in 2013 by the GX BLAK Series Performance Grand Pianos featuring the innovative Millennium III Grand Action with ABS-Carbon Composite parts. Carbon composite parts are stronger and lighter to provide a higher level of performance and greater consistency than ever before.
