Biography
A native of Balashov, Russia, pianist Artem Kuznetsov has been hailed for his artistry, virtuosity, lyricism and exciting energy. Continuous success at more than 10 international piano competitions launched his global career, allowing Mr. Kuznetsov to present solo recitals and concerto performances as well as chamber music performances across Europe, Russia and the United States. His major teachers include Stanislav Ioudenitch (Parkville, Missouri) and Dr. Jon Kimura Parker (Shepherd School of Music, Rice University).
Mr. Kuznetsov won first prize in the Ivanovka International Piano Competition,the Seattle International Piano Competition, and the Grand Prize at the eMuse International Music Competition and Young Texas Artists Music Competition, among others. He has earned top prizes from the San Jose International Piano Competition, the Crescendo Music Awards Competition, the Wideman International Piano Competition, and the Bendizky International Piano Competition in Russia. He has also performed in multiple venues across a number of countries, including the Muziekcentrum Enschede, The Netherlands; Schloss Ettlingen in Asamsaal, Germany; Associazione Giosuè Carducci in Como, Italy; and the Kennedy Center in Washington DC.
Mr. Kuznetsov is actively involved in musical outreach for under-served communities, as well as educational events for young musicians. Throughout 2017-2019 Artem participated in more than 10 outreach recitals in Texas and Washington state, and gave more than 35 presentations and masterclasses for elementary, middle and high school students. He will be releasing his debut album in summer 2019.
