KAWAI RX-5 ARTIST GRAND PIANO
An important part of the highly-popular RX Series grand piano line first introduced by Kawai in 1995 was the RX-5 Chamber Grand that could grace a recital hall with power and presence, but not overpower the more intimate studio or home setting. Like all the RX Series grands, the RX-5 featured Kawai’s Ultra-Responsive Action with ABS Styran parts. The Ultra-Responsive Action was far more advanced than the conventional all-wood actions found on most other brands of pianos.
But, as Kawai technology continued its steady evolution toward the future, the RX Series was replaced in 2013 by the GX BLAK Series Performance Grands featuring the Millennium III Grand Action with ABS-Carbon Composite parts. Carbon fiber parts are stronger and lighter to provide a swifter keystroke and more consistent touch and performance than other comparable pianos. You’ll hear and feel the difference.
