A highly-esteemed member of the RX Series grand piano line introduced by Kawai in 1995, the RX-6 Orchestra Grand Piano was long admired for it outstanding touch and tone. It featured Kawai’s Ultra-Responsive Action with ABS Styran parts. Although the Ultra-Responsive Action represented a major step forward over the traditional all-wooden actions found on other pianos, Kawai technology continued to advance.

In 2013, the RX-6 was succeeded by the GX-6 that highlighted the new Millennium III Grand Action with Carbon Composite parts. Carbon fiber parts are lighter and stronger to provide a swifter keystroke and improved consistency of touch and performance. The discerning player will feel the difference.
